Ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene copolymer (E-CTFE) exhibits extraordinary impact strength in the temperature range of -76°C to 150°C. A large part of the product performance is due to the extremely smooth surface that sets HALAR® apart from other fluoropolymers. Because E-CTFE is so pure, this material is used to treat chemicals and ultrapure water in the semiconductor industry. Resistance to oxygen, carbon dioxide, chlorine and hydrochloric acid permeation is 10 to 100 times better than PTFE.
